1. What is Aarcon?

Aarcon is a centre at Aarhus University dedicated to promoting dialogue and collaboration among practitioners, researchers, and students working on conflict-related issues.

2. What does affiliation mean?

As an Aarcon affiliate, your profile—including a short biography, a professional photograph, and relevant links (for example, a link to your LinkedIn profile)—will be featured on our website. Affiliation connects you to a community committed to advancing conflict management and practice through conferences, workshops, and the Aarcon Report publication series.

3. What is expected of Aarcon affiliates?

We ask all Aarcon affiliates to make a positive contribution to the centre, in ways that suit their interests and availability. Contributions may include:

  • Event participation: Attending our twice-yearly events—a summer conference and a winter workshop—normally held at Aarhus University’s Moesgaard Campus.

  • Academic contributions: Writing short articles for the Aarcon Report, our publication series focusing on conflict-related topics.

  • Community engagement: Taking the initiative to organise events, sharing relevant research or projects, or otherwise actively engaging with the network.

4. How do I become an Aarcon affiliate?

If you are interested in becoming an Aarcon affiliate, we welcome you to apply by emailing us the following materials:

  • A short professional biography (maximum 100 words).

  • A high-resolution photograph. By submitting your biography and photograph, you consent to their publication on the Aarcon website.

  • Links to relevant professional profiles, such as your LinkedIn profile or an academic webpage.
